Internship report - High Altitude Wind Resource Assessment

Offshore wind energy is on a trajectory of expansion and innovation. Larger offshore wind turbines and airborne wind energy systems are exploring the yield potential offshore. Therefore a better understanding of the wind conditions offshore is required, specifically at higher altitudes. This internship aims to investigate those high altitude wind conditions over the North Sea using data from the DOWA (Dutch Offshore Wind Atlas).
