These maps present the 10-year average scale (a) parameter over 2008-2017 for the DOWA-domain. You can select 17 different heights: 10, 20, 40, 60, 80, 100, 120, 140, 150, 160, 180, 200, 220, 250, 300, 500 or 600m. The color scale for Weibull scale parameter a for heights between 10-200 m ranges from 2.5-12.5 m/s, and the color scale for heights above 200 m from 6-13 m/s.
The Weibull scale parameter is a “measure” for the average wind speed. As to be expected, the average wind speed is higher in winter and autumn than in summer and spring.
